...pun intended. Leaning towards Wheel Vintiques artilleries with '46 Ford style center caps like a so:
$150ish per wheel, + 3oish per cap, and best of all will fit both the pattern on the front (Ford 5/4.5 upgraded hubs) and on the rear (Jag: 5/4.75) so I can keep a single spare. I can even order that spare as a 4". (Probably 15x5s front, 15x7s back or some such). Ordered bare for to be make with the body color.
Anybody want to talk me out of all this?

Nope, I think the only other option would be body colored steelies with the ford center caps. Going to go for white walls?

Most work to this point has been in logistics/planning. However, car:
Grill:
Midgate latch, possibly rear glass, a rear cab window motor, and a 4.2 Rover V8 were burgled from a '95 Range Rover County. Currently making plans for CBR600 throttle bodies like these:
and a Richmond Gear BW Super T-10.
Installed with one of these bellhousings, mechanical linkage manual version:

You know it (regular budget/uneven front/rear permitting). The better to make tire smoke like a sir.

Also, I considered Gennies (
)
and smoothies (
),
but I don't want my front brakes to fry and I lean a bit artillery anyway. The rear brakes don't care regardless, because Jag diff-mounted brakes, but I'm going for upgrade discs that just may get a wee bit hotter than the original drums.

The Gennies are pretty good also, but I think you made the right choice with the Artilleries. Those are going to look awesome! Have you thought about body color ?

I put it before the peanut gallery a while back and eventually I ended up leaning this direction:
(Courtesy ArchDuke MaxYenko)
A little more vibrant on the blue, and possibly with a dark blue accent stripe over the body fillet - either the dark blue or the light blue would work well for the wheels.

Nice! Thats kinda like What I am planning when I get mine in the spring except monotone
light blue or white, 63' sedan or wagon. I'm shooting for an inline six, but plan on transplanting the Turbo 4.0 DOHC Aussie motor after a year or two.
Similar to this but with a Sneaky amount of HP.

Ultimate horsepower for me starts losing its sense-making past about 250 in that platform, unless it's a four-door, granted- that pushes the "practical" toward 320. With the low weight of the Ranchero, it seemed to me like anything past the 4.2 NA with stacks would be overkill and too thirsty for its own good. Plus, I like NA response, heat manageability, and stacks. Did I mention I like stacks? Well, I do.
I'm still leaning toward Mustang bumpers on mine - practicality be effed, I think it'll look good, they're cheap, and the bumpers I have are rofflefucked re: chrome.

Yeah, I'm not going for crazy HP because its also going to be my DD, just enough to make people curious. I was thinking of starting with the NA 4.0 and then going turbo if I get bored or a different DD. Who doesn't like a good set of stacks, and I think as long as you have the tuning patience, everything should have ITB's I don't think anything looks better under the hood of a car. I haven't seen mustang bumpers on a falcon, would it really effect practicality?

Only practicality re: hitting things, is what I meant, i.e. actual usefulness as a bumper. Also, despite them being a shade lighter than the original, I'd need to make up a filler panel/ lip to go underneath, as it's not 100% bridged in the original body, being bumper covered.

A quick GIS didn't turn up much, but the sharp edge on a '66 bumper should help convey something like the end result:
Here's a '65 that somebody actually did close to what I'm talking about:
And here's a '60 (correct grille for what I have) with a tastefully built filler strip and no bumper.
On the weight of the preceding, I think it'll look awesome.
